A NINE-POINT PLAN TO REVAMP SOUTH AFRICA’S
ECONOMIC GROWTH

The President outlined the guidelines of his government plan to ignite
growth and create jobs, with a higher impact on new industrial policy, sup-
ported by a modernization and expansion plan of fundamental infrastructu-
res, including the ICT sector.

Budget 2015: South Africa raises income tax

South African taxpayers will be paying more taxes on their personal in-
comes to help the government raise revenue, Finance Minister Nhlanhla
Nene told Parliament during his 2015 Budget speech.
Taxpayers will pay an extra percentage point to enable the government
to raise an extra R12-billion this year, and another R15-billion in 2016.
