of Arts and Culture, the Embassy also participated in an exhibition of photos and art works from

the continent.

This quarter, we welcomed a delegation from the Eastern Cape Provincial Portfolio Committee

on Roads and Public Works, which had successful meetings with regional and local authorities

in Bari. Our Honorary Consul in Bari, Mr Antonio Morfini, did a fantastic job in supporting the

delegation during their successful visit.

In this edition, we publish an exciting article by the Third Secretary Administration, Ms Refilwe

Addo, who joined the Embassy team recently.

South African Embassy strengthens relations

with San Marino

The Embassy of South Africa in Italy, which is

accredited to San Marino, was represented by

the First Secretary: Political, Ms Mpho Oliphant,

at the investiture of their Excellencies the Cap-

tains Regent Mimma Zavoli I and Vanessa

D’Ambrosio I, on 1 April 2017.Their Excellen-

cies are the first women to occupy this position

concurrently, and they will serve as Heads of

State from 1 April to 1 October 2017.
