         Staff of the South African Embassy in Rome participated in the 67 minutes campaign on 18 July 2018 - In-


         ternational Nelson Mandela Day. They contributed by serving in honour of Nelson Mandela at the Joel Nafu-

         ma Refugee Centre, in Rome. Officials assisted by painting an office wall, teaching English and Italian for


         beginners and helping to dispense provisions to the needy. Dr Sheldon Moulton, Minister Plenipotentiary

         made a few remarks in honour of Nelson Mandela and the 100  Anniversary of his birth this year.

         A delegation from Gauteng Province accompanied South African athletes which represented South Africa at

                th
         the 6  edition of the International Tri-Color Games in Reggio Emilia. The South African comprised about

         270 participants and was the largest foreign delegation. The team of over 90 young athletes between aged

         13 and 17, spent almost two weeks in the City of Reggio Emilia, competing with over 3000 athletes in swim-


         ming, football, rugby, basketball and athletics.




         The South African teams achieved 121 medals for swimming, with 58 gold, 43 silver, and 20 bronze. South

         Africa also won a Rugby gold medal, football boys gold, football girls silver, basketball boys silver, basket-
